Pedofiles on Deviant Art........

SO the other day ....I was randomingly checking the forums of DA, and noticed a post about child abuse. Of course being intrigued I clicked to read more. Come to find out a DA member found a profile belonging to a pedofile on DA, such member had various pix of 10yr old girls in sultry poses, and some very sexual. The last pic was of his penis obscuring a lil' girls mouth, and was entitled "my daughter". Immediatly the whole community fought to have his profile removed, but it took DA 6+hrs to do so.

All I could help thinking was I hope the authorities get this guy and save these poor girls...........they were actually smiling in these pics, and they are probably scarred for life.

Dead Girl
Now I chose to watch this movie after an old friend who is a zombie fanatic recommended it. It is not your typical horror movie. The premise is about 2 teen boys who get bored and decide to visit the abandoned Mental Hospital.........while in the process of trashing the place they come across a wild dog that chases them through the basement of the hospital. They end up trying to find a way back outside, and stumble across an old rusty door that they have to pry open. Once inside they come upon a naked girl under plastic, and she is strapped to a gurney. Being teens, hormones take over and all they think about is that it's a naked girl..............you can only imagine what will happen from that point on, as the one guy says "We can keep her". Events of the movie go from bad to worse........as one teen rapes the zombie girl then invites more to do so. But unlike other zombie flicks, the dead seem to be aware and conscious. http://www.deadgirlmovie.com/

Another Contemporary Artist

My friend Pedro Matos got me hooked on another hot artist named Banksy. He seems to be a type of graphiti artist, as he does his works on the side of building , and he uses spray painted stencils. His pieces are so detailed and leave you wondering. I'm guessing he is based out of London as most of his pieces are found there. http://www.subversionmagazine.com/?p=162 this is a link to his newest rendition of one of his older works.
From Bad to Worse....

So unfortunatly I was let go from the porn shop....it all happened last Sunday. You see last Sunday should have been the typical boring Sunday at the pornshop, but no it wasn't. Some random crackhead came into the store and pushed aside another customer, then proceded to tell me he needed my assisitance. It was obvious he was fucked up on something as he slurred when he talked and walked a bit off. He says "over here, by the counter". So I went to the counter and he starts to mumble/whisper something....I then say I can't hear him, and if he could speak up. SO he gestures for me to come closer which I do, because in this place you get people who are fucked up yet harmless. He then grabs the front of my shirt saying "you better listen to what I say or you're going to die....I'm going to kill you" He then mumbles something else and I have no fucking clue what he is saying...sounds like bank??? So he gets pissed off that I can't understand him, and people are coming into the store. He then tips over a glass case filled with very expensive glass pipes. He then says "you get it now?" and runs out. I called my manager as he said before if any situation like this happens to call him 1st before getting the police involved. He then gets mad because I havn't called 911 as per his prior instructions. So I call 911 and the police nab the guy across the street...short end of story. I come back into the store after talking to the police, and another employee says "george said not to come back". Now this other employee came and quickly cleaned up the scene....just seemed a little weird to me, and not what should happen. I bet they are a front for money laundering.............

All the kool kids.......

Yesterday my oldest son Ryan was talking about school, and he said "all the kool kids wear " brand x. Now when I was his age i remember thinking the exact same thing, but now that I'm older I find it ridiculous that someone would judge someone based on what their shirt says. When in reality they are just walking advertisments, and nothing more than a walking billboard. Also I think that it is dumb to want to wear this stuff and think that one becomes elite when it is put on. Those kind of people are tools. I've often tried telling him that those kind of people are not the nicest and not like he would want to hang out with them anyways. Middle school kids can often be vicious lil' monsters who are always on the lookout for the weakest link, as long as it is not them. Who teaches kids to be this way....is it a right of passage? Does everyone experience this before moving on to adulthood?

inside the pornshop

Alot of people do not know all that much about "adult bookstores" or pornshops.....in that they contain what the employees refer to as their "backroom". The backroom is known to the public as an adult arcade..............now I know you're thinking, "they play video games?" No, it's a hallway with separate booths, and inside these booths is a tv screen were "the customer"(I put customer in quotes, because not every one spends money) can watch a video, for 4min on the dollar. For some reason in Syracuse no women are allowed back there, and the sight and smell alone....I couldn't imagine any woman wanting to sit back there. It's dimly lighted, and smells on a "good " day like a whore's ass.

This past weekend, the AC died and it was in the 80's..............making that arcade even hotter. Usually the people who frequent the arcade are homosexual men, and married men looking to get blow jobs, or are bi-curious. So alot of these people tend to linger/loiter so they can hookup. This weekend people were still showing up, even with no AC.............how can someone be that horny that they would sit in that kind of heat???

Everyone is on Facebook.

I recently rejoined Facebook. I used to be on when I was in college, but my account got banned due to adding too many people??? Isn't that the whole concept of a "friend" site??? Of course this time around I would play it kool and only add people I had met in real life. Everyone is on Facebook nowadays.....since they found out they could sell ads and allow anyone to join.

So i added an old co-worker, and she was on my friends list for at least a month or 2, and Im sure if u have a friend site that u have experienced the dreaded mystery leaver. Not having added too many people I had an idea that it was her since she was the type who regularly added updates about the "cute" things her kid would do, which usaully turned out to be some gobbly gook that only she knew why it was funny. Not that I much cared or was overly upset by this removal, as this girl was a mousy had to get tattoos so anyone will notice me type. Also considering the fact that she always had dirt on everyone I often wondered if she was ever truly close to anyone.

Long overdue for an update...

It's been an ungodly time since i have updated this journal.....not that I think many read it...lol. I have found a job working in the porn industry..........long pause, as a sex shop clerk(u were hoping to hear something shocking, right?) It pays almost as much as my last job, but I have to commute a long distance and it leaves me with very little time, Which means I havn't been able to produce or finish any art. I do get an awesome discount, such as anything I choose to buy is sold to me at cost............so i have been selling porn items online to make up my gas money.
I'm currently looking to move closer so that I can have more free time, and hope to be back to the regular grind.

I just recently saw this movie, as it was suggested to me, because I liked another movie. It was kinda interesting, as it was about a geeky girl in middle school who everyone picks on and even her family seems t not pay much attention to her. I can't recall the actress's name but she played the role of Dj's girlfriend on Roseanne. It was suppossed to be a comedy, but wasn't really funny, just kinda "hey I remember middle school" being like that kinda funny.

porn kings and characters

Being in the artworld you run into some interesting people or characters. One such person I ran across was Blaise Christie, a self made porn king. When I first saw one of his films, they were Warholesque Pornos featuring "crackwhore" type models...........and they were slightly bizzare and degrading to women I would say, as the man would fishhook the girls mouth or stretch open their eye and spit in it. Now He films himself "performing" in these pornos with crackwhores, and there is nothing artistic about them, just sex and a different girl in each film...............the sex is even them same and routine....lol. If you want to see for yourself go to www.electrofilms.com
SO I've pretty much given up all hope that I will ever sell anything on etsy, and their are other artists who feel the same on that site. It's just more geared to crafts, and clothing...............or prints of paintings. No real artwork is being bought and sold there. I even tried selling on Ebay again too, but I'll keep to selling from myspace. I may just keep the etsy store up, but forget about blogging about it, and forum posting there...............too many crafters who want to sell their bead junk.

I have taken to selling random junk on ebay, such as rock tees that I buy from the thrift store, and reselling them on ebay. http://myworld.ebay.com/mojo_007art So far it has been successful. I lost my job back in Jan, and then they tried to stop my unemployment. Yes I had a job, even Jackson Pollock had a job before he became famous, and any artist who says they make a living off of selling their works is full of it. The economy really sucks, as if it didn't suck already in the area of NY that I live. Where even finding a minimum wage job is hard to find, because so many people are out of work.

Cheap packaging...........?

I've noticed since the economy started to tank that some big companies are trying to reduce costs in packaging. First it started with an increase in price, but less product. Now I'm seeing how certain companies are designing packaging different to reduce printing costs...........limited colors. Pepsi has redesigned their cans so that it is a simple print job, and so has pizza hut done the same too. Just an observation.

new postcard.........I sent it to Juxtapoz

I did this new postcard and decided to send it to Juxtapoz.......they sometimes print postcards from readers in their magazine. It's a good self-promotion , even though I've read articles saying that no matter how many solicitations you send no one gets much. But hey ya never know.........a friend of mine on myspace got noticed and now has a few gallery shows in LA.

The title of this is Lillith's Venom...............she was the 1st woman before Eve. Hence why we have an even amount of ribs....lol. She's said to be the mother of the vampires.

Writer's Block: Adult Onset

Putting legal definitions aside, at what age do you think someone can really be considered an adult?

View 500 Answers

I'd say at least in the early 20's...........I really feel that18yrs old is too young to be considered an adult. I, myself wasn't that mature at 18.........and you're still a teen. A part of being an adult is being humble enough to admit that you do not know everything, and being a lil' more responsible. Being a teen and living with Mommy & Daddy doesn't mean you are responsible at all to have the title of adult which should be earned.
I know their are prolly alot of teens who blog on this site, and they're going to disagree............we are all entitled to our opinions, but I've been there. I think in this case wisdom outweighs this by far.

appreciate don't duplicate.....
So there is this dude on one of the art sites I'm on that is always complimenting my work and asking questions all the time............well he sent me a message a few weeks ago, asking for my permission to copy one of my works. He wants to copy it and redo it in venetian plaster, and he says "I can make a $100,000 for that". I was at first flattered and then pissed..........like I'm gonna let some one copy my work that I took time and effort into, and let someone make money from it and get nothing.

O well...............here's my latest-

Been awhile since I have updated this....
I watch alot of movies and usually don't have alot to say about them as they are either blah or okay, but I just saw Mongol the other day. I have to say that for a historical movie this was excellent. It's about Ghengis Khan and how he grew up and his rise to power. Man this guy went threw alot of shit in his life, and was a slave so many times.....no wonder he was out to get people. But the movie also portrayed him as being a very good leader as he was fair to his people, and compassionate.......as none of his "kids" were really his own. It was in Mongolian, with english subtitles, and it was worth watching. So if you like different movies or foreign films this is a good one. www.mongolmovie.com

Beacon,NY as new art mecca

The once ghetto town of Beacon,NY has been revitalized and is now a sucessful arts community. I did notice that parts did still have that poor black community look with check cashing stores, dry cleaners, and shoe repair stores(the Soul man). Walking up and down Main street there can be found a gallery or two on every block. I was told that this change occurred due to artists rennovating an old hat factory, which is now the DIA.
In Syracuse they are trying to do the same thing, but in 2yrs. Beacon has prosperred while Syracuse remains stagnant. This is due to NYC being so close, and the money from that city goes to improving Beacon's economy. While the artists at the Gear Factory(Syracuse,NY) are kissing ass for a couple hundred, artists in Beacon do so for a couple thousand.

Floor One Gallery, Beacon, NY continued

So it being the 2nd saturday of the month when all the art galleries in Beacon start shows....I decided to check it out. I even went to check out the oh so "proffessional" Floor One. What a joke....they have no marking to state that it is the Floor One Gallery, and just the address number in small print on the door. It looks like an abandoned store front, and no sign of life near it. It literally looks like a ghost town near this "gallery". I'm glad I missed out on this, as another thing they are not even near the art district of Beacon. I wouldn't reccomend them for a showing of anything. So let them rehearse their plays and what ever else they do there. I did some very important networking today, and will hopefully have a better viewing chance in one of the other galleries there. I passed out alot of my business cards today, and talked to alot of gallery owners.

Floor One Gallery

Well, I was suppossed to have a show with this gallery starting this weekend, but they canceled it with no notice to me. Then when I questioned it, they came off cocky saying you just messaged us throught the 'net and never called us...........uh hello, when I googled this place, they have no listing let alone a phone number. It was hard enough to find the email address, which was tiny print at the bottom of a blurb. They also said that by assuming that I had booked a show with no call, that I was unprofessional......this coming from the gallery with no phone address info....not to mention that canceled shows with no notice to do some rehearsals for a play. Just a heads up for any other artists out there. They are a really new gallery, and I doubt that they will last very long with this attitude, and half-assedness.
